Astor 6 Valve Radio

On the work bench at present.

An Astor 6 valve two band radio, chassis No. DJ 776. The valves it uses are:

• 6U7G Pentode
• 6J8G Heptode Triode
• 6U7G Pentode
• 6B6G Duo Diodetriode
• 6V6G Beam Tetrode
• 5Y5G Full wave Rectifier

  I will soon put pictures here. The case is wooden. All the valves are in but due to cockroaches eating all the insulation I am unable to switch it on.

1. Insulation is being replaced on some of the wiring. 14 Aug 2001 nearly finished
2. All paper capacitors will be replaced.
